She Wants to Remember
You know, there's this concept of reincarnation out there. She was not raised in a family where reincarnation is believed. Well, maybe implicitly her dad believes so but he never really say it. She was just a teenager when she was fascinated by the concept.
It stuck with her for so long until she decided to say, "Yes, I believe in reincarnation."
She talked about this a lot with her best friend. These two lot are very close. So they are used to speaking their minds, brutally. "Because why do you think we're so close like this, even I am not that close to my family if reincarnation does not exist? I mean, look at us, we have been friends for over 15 years and even had 3 years of not speaking to each other like strangers. Maybe we were siblings in our previous lives? Maybe we were even spouses or parent and kid...? I don't know!"
Well, her friend still can not grasping the idea of reincarnation but she does not oppose to the idea.
It's bizarre to think that her bodies from previous lives, buried somewhere on this earth. If, she reincarnated always on earth. If she did on other planets? Other galaxies? The thought really bothers her and she couldn't sleep at night.
She stared at the blank wall of her bedroom and started to cry. This happened many times. There was this feeling of heaviness on her chest that she couldn't figure out why. She wants to find that missing pieces of hers that she thinks the answers can only be found from the previous lives.
Maybe, just maybe, the memories we held were too heavy and gruesome so we chose to erase the memories to start a new life. To really start with no influences until we decide what and who can influences us in this new life.
Still, she just wants to remember. She will always want to remember.
