In Search of Home
"I want to be home", she said it in the morning. Her friend told her to just go home.
No, it's not the home home. The feeling of coming "home" is different with going physically home. She was searching the meaning of home. The feeling of being home. She didn't find it in her parents' house. She didn't find it anywhere.
She is longing to be home.
No one understand this feeling when she told them. She didn't push it and just let the feeling lingers a little bit longer.
"No one understand me anyway."
Until she met somebody.
"I know what you mean."
"How?"
"Because I feel the same."
He came from the big city, lived his whole life in a big city and then there's this itch for them to search for home. A home that is not the building of the house, but a place where she is embraced by the souls she's been missing to be with. The souls who wouldn't question her decisions doing things in this lifetime. The souls who would help her to break the cycle. The soul family that will tell her, "You're doing great this lifetime."
"Have you been feeling home then?" She asked him back.
"No, not yet."
She loves her own company and yet she felt lonely. The feeling she rarely felt. But she did not want to brush it off so she dived deeper to understand why. She has two best friends, that's enough for her to vent whenever she needs. They have each other's back for over 20 years. The most dynamic relationship ever for her. But somehow they does not understand that. Which is not a problem for her. She is used to it.
She meets souls along the way, the souls who understand her loneliness. The souls who have been searching for the same, home. And then suddenly her longing is bearable. She has company. They are searching their home through different journeys, but together.
